An end to december and 2006
I realised i haven really been blogging much except for uploading photos since exams ended.. cos i'm too lazy to think of what to write and i think my writing skills seem to be deteriorating by the day. I dun even noe the name of the dishes I had… just that they are mostly curry and spicy =P I was afraid that I couldn’t take the spice at 1st, but they were ok except for the fish head curry. The pricing was not cheap though. Each one of us had to pay 9 bucks even after a ‘50% subsidy’ Hehe… but nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much. We even learnt something new about the Indian culture. The different way which we fold the banana leaf after the meal actually conveys a different message to the host! Had a nice long walk back to office after that as the weather was good.
Yet another month coming to an end. A month which seems so long and yet so short to me. Basically it was just occupied with work, harmoc camp and occasional meetups with frens =)
Anyway, went to this place called Samy’s Curry for lunch on Friday. It was quite a dining experience for me. The place was not quite noticeable as it was like situated in the middle of greenery. The setting is very peaceful, brings one away from the bustle of life in the city.

The last month of the year had always been my favorite month. Reason being it’s the holiday period when I can just enjoy and not be bugged by stuff which usually bothers me during the school term. Somehow I couldn’t feel the ‘December mood’ this yr. Everyday after work, the 1st thing that comes to my mind was to reach home asap if I’m not gg somewhere else. And after that I’ll just park myself in front of the tv or the lappie… too tired to do anything else.
Generally I prefer the end of a yr to the start of a new yr. So the talk about setting new yr resolutions + new hopes and aspirations doesn’t really stir up much impact within me. Somehow, the year of 2006 just passed by without leaving any significance. I can only remember starting a new sch yr which in turn led to a semester of stress, the long 3 months hols when I had a good break, followed by returning to sch as a year 2 student.
I do not know what to expect for the coming year ahead. It’ll be the year where I’ll be legally stepping into adulthood. Emotionally, I’m really not ready… cos I still feel like such a big kid! 不想长大! Whatever it is, hope that everyone enjoy the last day of 2006!

Seriously i didn't have much feelings towards to the approach of results day until the time was really near. Sighz... i must say that i was totally disappointed with my performance this time round. Though i noe i don't derserve to expect much, i just didn't expect the grades to be so bad! This is like the worst grades i've gotten for the past 3 sems and my CAP got pulled down totally =( Previously there was still the glimmer of hope that i could pull it up to reach my desired class of honours... but now it seems like i don't have to decide whether to do honours anymore... I guess i won't be so lucky to get good grades everytime. Results, besides being dependant on luck, requires effort and consistency too... Lost soul buried her memories on

Finally visited vivocity today with meng and toot. Yea, i noe i am quite slow =P Anyway, at 1st i just expected it to be another mega mall but i was pleasantly surprised with its architecture and the splendid view that it has to offer! Hee, i've lost count of the no. of times which i went "这里很美！” Nv bought anything there but i'm happy to be just walking around the place for the whole day =) The tea at secret recipe was not satisfying cos they dun have the choc cheese and cheese choc cake which me and meng wanted =( In the end i ordered the kids meal... 4 mini burgers with alphabet fries! After some window shopping, we wondered to the 'deck' of the building for more photos... hee... the layout is so cool, i feel like i'm on board a cruise! Hee... think this will be a nice place to chill out and chat other than esplanade area... good sea view, less buildings and more space for sitting down. Can da bao food and eat there w/o worrying abt cats also? =P Think the next dining hype in the market would be HK cafe/resturants... they seem to be popping up everywhere like mushrooms. My visit to this cafe was definately satisfying. The service was fast, the food is good and pricing is reasonable too. Hopefully can go back next time to try their sandwiches for tea... then perhaps could stay there longer as there wont be so much people at that time. Anyway, the guy at the next table kept giving us a weird look. He must think that we are crazy to take so many photos and to "film commercials" for their milk tea and mango luke... lolz Lost soul buried her memories on

Finally went shopping with Linda today! We planned this shopping trip like a long time ago... hee... went city hall area to wax my brows 1st... then go walk walk in marina and suntec area... Mainly bought stuff that i wanted to get for quite some time... like cooling balls for my lappie and new earphones... i dunno y my earphones spoil so easily too... Anyway, we had our tea at xin wang HK cafe. Linda like her yuan yang but i felt that my HK style milk tea was too sweet... n it cost more than the normal teh-c too... i wonder wat's the diff... hmmm... Generally the food there was ok, at least for these few dishes la =P... hee... but something worth mentioning would be the carrot cake bah... cos the serving is just nice... not too big... n it's not too oily too. The fried bean curd skin was abit too oily though. After we finished walking city hall area, we went to far east to cont our shopping. Bought a new tote bag there for sch next yr... actually it's the same type of bag as the one i'm currently using... really like the features of the bag la, n the current one is spoiling and the paint is peeling till like only 20% of the pic is left... This time round i bought a beige coloured one, with minimal paint for the print on it... quite a cute monkey design... there's no black for that design and actually i was very tempted to get the white bag instead... but decided not to cos we usually throw our bags ard everywhere in sch, then it'll "become black" liao =P Lost soul buried her memories on

Harmoc Camp
THis week is the week for harmoc camp... sadly, the turnout wasn't good... everyday we only have like less than 20 peeps... n i'm running a sleep deficit sleeping only 5 to 6 hours these few days! Hehe... it might sound enough to some but i need 8 hours of sleep on average... n it'll be even better if i can sleep 10 hrs... my eyebags are showing le.

The weekend
Finding found time to unwind after work on friday! Dinner was at taka basement fisherios... tried the better battered fish and chips this time but i prefer the normal breaded one... their fish there is very nice and fresh! Although the serving looks small, it was very filling. Never had much time to shop though... only went cold storage to get some pastry crust and kino to replenish my highlighters... hehe... after which the day ended with sipping my ice-blended peppermint mocha at starbucks... the drink is back this xmas season... hehe... shall have it if i ever visit starbucks again this month...
Today supposed to go cycling with meng, bel, toot and hui huo at ecp... but upon reaching there, it rained and we ended up walking ard aimlessly in tampines mall... hopefully can have a cycling outing again soon.

Break from sch, off to work
Went back to work on the day right after the exams... I was really brain dead on the 1st day back lor... mind was not working cos i haven recovered from the exams... but things got better these 2 days. However, i need a break! Where's my break? Looking forward to a day where i can just laze at home and do nothing...
Tml the nemos are gg for dim sum buffet and i can't go! Sighz.... i was like so looking forward to it while we were talking abt wat to do after exams the other time... think i missed out on quite a few OG outings le, due to watever reasons... definately miss hanging out with them... Anyway, i noe u guys will enjoy urselves. Meanwhile, i shall derive the enjoyment by finding out how it goes ya =)
Haven done any fun stuff after exams yet... like shopping, watch movies, swimming etc... looking forward to gai gai after work tml and cycling on sun =)

The Last paper
And so the dreaded exams is finally over... the last paper, inorg chem was a total disater... My mind felt so blank while i was looking at the questions. Open book also dunno where to flip! So as a result, the exam was not ended with a sense of relief but rather with alot of complaints...
But anyway, at least the papers are over and done with... no need to touch the books for the time being. Time to enjoy the hols.

Exam stress?
I guess the exam stress had somehow or other turn to bug me in my dreams! On the night after my thurs papers.... i dreamt abt the wrong organic molecule and NMR spliting i drew in my ans... n then somehow my dream digressed into some unpleasant event... which i can only roughly rem but i dun wish to rem it too, so i shall not describe it here... As a result, i woke up on friday morning feeling kinda grumpy!
Managed to do last min studying of econs with the help of the text borrowed from HSS library and some handouts.... the lecture notes really cannot make it leh... so many greek symbols and so little words.... how to understand?
After sitting down inside the exam hall... i realised that there's 3 ans books on the desk and the 1st thing that went thru my mind was, got so much stuff to write meh? Hahaz... but in the end i realised it was cos we were required to answer a new qns in a separate book... There's quite an amt of stuff which i didn't focus on which came out... sian diao... in the end i anyhow define defination... and anyhow manipulate figures to make the balance sheet balance, and anyhow written alot of rubbish...
Sighz... hope that those qns which i did noe how to ans turn out right... cos hopefully can get a decent grade for this module... would be really sian diao if it pulls down my cap...
Anyhow, just like the completion of my previous papers... i do feel a sense of relieve that yet another paper is over. Now left with one more to go... two more days!
